Beach Volleyball: Roadrunners suffer 5-0 loss to Long Beach

Rio Hondo College faced off against Long Beach City College on Friday and suffered an identical result. As the designated home team, the Roadrunners fell to the Vikings by a final score of 5-0 in a South Coast Conference match at the Granada Beach volleyball courts in Long Beach.

Rio Hondo is still looking for its first conference victory and fell to 0-4 in the SCC and is 6-10 overall.

The Roadrunners' best shot at a win came at the No. 2 matchup. The Rio Hondo duo of Stephanie Perez and Mara Sanchez pushed the LBCC squad of Jessica Blakeman and Kylee Irwin-Paz to three sets but fell by scores of 21-12, 15-21, 15-6.
