LANCASTER - Ethan Avant hit his fourth home run of the season and Kyle Lathrop hit the first home run of his career, however, the Marauder baseball team fell to Citrus losing to the Owls, 7-6, at Citrus College.
Avant was 4-for-5 and hit a solo home run in the top of the first inning giving AVC a 1-0 lead. Citrus led 4-1 before the Marauders rallied to tie the score 4-4. The Owls took lead of 5-4 and 6-5 but both time AVC managed to even the ball game, including tying the score 6-6 following Lathrop's solo home run.
Citrus took a 7-6 lead following the bottom of the eighth inning and AVC couldn't respond.
