In an Orange Empire Conference game, the Hornets pulled off a last minute victory at Santa Ana College on Tuesday beating the Dons 2-1.
The last two games for Fullerton have been absolute nail-biters as the Hornets had to come from behind in the previous conference home game to defeat Irvine Valley College 3-2. Since losing the Orange Empire Conference opener at Orange Coast, Fullerton is working well together as a team with a "never say die" attitude.
The Hornets found themselves up early in the 9th minute on a goal by Kentrell Dorsey.
Santa Ana fired back in the second half (65:15) on an unassisted shot by Marcelo Aguirre.
The game remained a push-and-shove physical stalemate, until Ryan Meinardus broke loose for the game-winner in the final minute.
FC goalkeeper Andres Ramirez was stout in the box holding the Dons to a goal with 5 saves.
Up Next: The Hornets (6-4-2 overall, 2-1 conference) will play on the road again on Tuesday, October 15th at 3:00 pm.
