In spite of a solid performance from Chelsea Shirley with 13 points, Cosumnes River College fell to Delta College 99-37.
#1 CCCAA state ranked Delta College solidified their lead in the third quarter, scoring 19 points.
Going 6-for-13, Shirley had a solid showing for CRC lady HAWKS, making 46% of field goals attempted.
Arionna Butts achieved double digits, scoring 10 points for Cosumnes River College (2-for-16). Also contributing for Cosumnes River College were Veronica Alejandrez (6 points, 6 rebounds), Kiara Jones (2 points, 1 rebound), Tamia Gray (2 points, 3 rebounds), Suraya Cabrera (2 points, 2 rebounds), and Briley Jordet (2 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal).
Cosumnes River College finished the game with 46 rebounds (17 offensive / 29 defensive) and five steals.
The Hawks continue their home campaign this Friday February 7th where they will take on the Folsom Lake Falcons in their Coaches vs. Cancer event. There will be raffle prizes including Kings gear, Kings tickets and much more. All money raised will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Tip off is at 7:30pm.
