Marissa Garza and Mina Nakawake drove in three of El Camino College's five runs on Friday in a 5-2 South Coast Conference road victory at Pasadena.

The Warriors (7-3, 3-2) have now won four of their last six games and three straight in conference after starting SCC play with two straight losses. Garza was perfect at the plate on Friday, going 3-for-3 with an RBI double and two runs scored. Nakawake went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run while Macie Jensen and Amber Patterson each drove in a run on the day.

Elizabeth Cortez picked up her fifth win of the season and stayed undefeated in the circle, going four innings against the Lancers and allowing two runs on six hits. She struck out two. Jamie Garvey went the final three innings and did not allow a run to pick up her first save of the year.

Nakawake and Garza essentially provided all the run-support the Warriors' two pitchers would need as Nakawake hit her two-run shot in the first inning and, after Pasadena answered with a run in their half of the first, Garza belted her RBI double to left center to give ECC a 3-1 edge and they never looked back.

The Warriors wrapped up a busy four-game week with a 3-1 mark and will return to conference action Tuesday on the road against Compton. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
