Renegades Succumb to the Warriors

BAKERSFIELD, CA – The Bakersfield College men's soccer team lost a home match-up against the visiting El Camino on Tuesday afternoon. BC picked up their third loss of the season in hard fought battle with a 1-4 scored.

The Warriors took control early in the game and scored at the 4th minute and the 9th minute. Bakersfield managed to hold on defensively as those were the only goals EC attained in the first half. Sophomore Anthony Miron got close with the only shot on goal in the 45 minutes but unlucky ball bounce inside the top bar and bounced right out for El Camino to be right there and knock it out.

Into the second half and the Gades offense started challenging the Warriors. BC had four shots on goals before El Camino scored in the 64th minute and again in the 77th minute. Veteran player, Angel Sandoval was able to lift the Renegades from completely being swept in the 80th minute and scored the lone goal for BC.

With the loss, the Renegades move to 3-4-3 on the season. Up next, they play another home match against Santa Monica next Tuesday, October 4th.
