Falcons fall to ARC, 70-67

A furious second-half rally by the Falcon men turned an ugly game into a nail-biter, but in the end the American River Beavers prevailed 70-67 on Tuesday night at Falcon Gym.  After falling behind by 14 points in the first half, the Falcons caught fire and caught the Beavers with ten minutes to play.  The two teams traded the lead over the final minutes, but it was the Beavers who got a bucket (and a free throw) when they needed it.  Down two with 12 seconds to play, the Falcons couldn't get their final three-pointer to fall.  Everett Campbell led the Falcons with 23 points (nearly all in the second half), Pierce Rexford had 15, and Tre Adams added 10 points.  The Falcons have a bye on Friday and will host Diablo Valley next Tuesday, February 4.
