Ten Viking sophomores were honored in a pre-game ceremony

The West Valley women's soccer team battled Hartnell to a 1-1 draw in the regular season finale Friday at Dick Schwendinger Field. After trailing 1-0 for most of the first half, Andrea Aguilar converted a Milka Perez pass for the equalizer in stoppage time. The Vikings finished the season with a 9-9-3 overall mark, 6-4-1 in the Coast-South. Ten Viking sophomores - Drew Bozarth, Jessica Cook, Janessa Cordoba, Sierra Ferrato, Lindsey Heen, Milka Perez, Ayanna Rubio, Payton Stauble, Talia Stauble and Danielle Wheeler - were honored prior to the game. Playoff seedings, opponents, dated and times will be announced Tuesday.
