Panthers Rebound with Win Against Canada
The Panther Baseball team took the lead late and defeated Canada 6-5 on Saturday February 29th. The Panthers trailed 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Isaiah Bueno homered on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs giving the Panthers the lead for good with three runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Tyler Triano singled scoring Ruben Gomez. Logan Sheasgreen went 2-for-4 doubled at the plate to lead the Panthers in hits. Amier Bowen went 1 for 3 with two runs scored. Bueno went 2 for 4 with 2-Run HR, two walks and a run scored. Gomez went 1 for 3 with two runs scored. Triano got the start for the Panthers on the mound. He surrendered one run on two hits over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Carson Cox pitched four innings giving up two hits, three runs, with three walks and two strikeouts. Gomez took the ball in 7th inning giving four hits, one run, on two walks and two strikeouts.
The Panthers (6-9) open up Coast Conference-South play next Tuesday March 3rd as they host Monterey Peninsula College at 2 p.m.
