Folsom, Calif. - Despite a pair of late runs, the 10th-seeded Butte baseball team fell in game one of Super Regionals to second-seeded Folsom Lake, 13-2, on Friday afternoon.
Seven different Roadrunners tallied a single in the game with freshmen Ryan McCarthy and John Lanterman counting the team's two RBI, drawing bases-loaded walks.
On the mound, freshman Logan Meyers (9-4) was the pitcher of record, tossing 4.2 innings, allowing eight earned runs, while striking out four. Freshmen Caleb Shaeffer and Hayden Bode both made appearances in the game.
Butte (28-15) looks to rebound in game two on Saturday, May 14 at 2 p.m. If necessary, a game three will be played on Sunday, May 15 at 12 p.m.
