Defensive Struggles Leads to 2-0 Loss for SAC Men’s Soccer

SANTA ANA, Calif. – On Friday afternoon, the Santa Ana men's soccer team hosted the Orange Coast Pirates in a battle for third place in the Orange Empire Conference standings.

Just a minute and 19 seconds into the match, the Dons suffered a defensive lapse that resulted in an early OCC goal.

SAC had several chances to get back into the game, getting off a total of 17 shots including nine in the first half, but failed to put any in.

Orange Coast pushed the lead to two with another goal in the 40th minute to take a 2-0 advantage into halftime.

The score would remain the same for the final 45 minutes, giving Santa Ana the loss to set its record at 10-6-4, 4-4-4 after the final game of the regular season.
