Sacramento, Calif. - The Solano softball team fell in a doubleheader matchup at American River, 5-3 and 9-4, on Thursday afternoon.

In game one, freshman Emma Woodworth went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate with a run, while freshman Francesca Martinez went 2-for-3 with a run. Freshman Morgan Gant (0-1) was the pitcher of record after throwing three innings and allowing all five runs.

And in the second game, sophomore Cecily Kaluza (0-4) was charged with the loss in the circle in 2.1 innings pitched, allowing seven earned runs. Freshman Lucia Ramirez went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs, while freshman Lexy Aguilar also earned a multi-hit game with a 2-for-3 outing.

Solano (1-7) remains on the road, heading to Chabot for another mid-week doubleheader on Tuesday, Feb. 18 beginning at 1 p.m.
