Freshman Dustin Henderson led Porterville College with 23 points in a 72-61 non-conference loss at Hartnell College on Tuesday.

Three-point shooting proved to be the difference in the contest between the two squads. Porterville made just 2 of 11 three-pointers while Hartnell drained 12 of 27 shots from downtown. The Pirates trailed by just three points, 33-30, after the first half and couldn't overcome the Panthers in the second.

Henderson added five rebounds and three assists to his 23 points. Kenton Lei added 13 points and seven rebounds while Justin Westley contributed nine points, five rebounds, and a pair of blocks off the bench.

Porterville, now 3-4 overall, returns to action on Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. when it hosts Bakersfield in a non-conference game.
