Mt. SAC Volleyball wins seventh straight with 3-0 sweep over ELAC

(Monterey Park, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball team is rolling along with its seventh win in a row and remains undefeated in the South Coast Conference with a 3-0 sweep over host East Los Angeles College on Friday (October 7).

With the win, Mt. SAC improved to 13-3 overall and 5-0 in the conference.

The Mounties ranked No. 10 in the latest CCCWVCA Poll (Oct. 4), won 25-16, 25-14, 25-19.

Mt. SAC sophomore opposite Victoria Arnold (4 Digs) led the Mounties with nine kills (.533), followed by JJ Quarrels (4D, 1 SA) and Riley DeGroot (4D, 1SA) with seven kills (.385) each. Allison Whiteman added six kills (.625) on the night.

Sophomore setter Kylie Rhodes (7D) had a match-high 23 assists and Capri Salmon (6D, 1SA) added 13 assists.

Riannel Arevalo (3 Assists, 1 SA) led with 17 digs for the Mounties.

Mt. SAC visits Long Beach City College on Wednesday (Oct. 12) for an SCC match.
