Thursday saw a very different outcome for the Hawks (9-9, 2-3 Big 8) when they matched up for game 2 of the 3 game series this week against rival San Joaquin Delta. The Hawks sent Sophomore Owen Hunt (Folsom HS) on the mound to try and win the teams first series of the year. Unfortunately for Hunt and the Hawks today would still not be that day. The Hawks gave up a season 22 runs on the Mustangs 25 hits. Hunt and the pitching staff surrender scoring in 7 out of the 9 innings that were played this afternoon. 

The game was not a blowout the entire time. The Hawks trailed by one at the start of the 4th inning (5 to 4 Mustangs), however the comeback which was started by Sophomore Brett Graber (Capital Christian HS) hit a two run home run to the left centerfield. However that would be the last time the Hawks would be in game 2 on the day. 

The Hawks will look to bounce back in 24 hours for the rubber match of the series is set now for Friday 3/6 at Delta JC 2:00 pm start time.
