Evans hat trick leads CCSF to 6-0 win at Los Medanos

PITTSBURG – City College of San Francisco sophomore Maleah Evans scored three goals to help lead the Rams to a big 6-0 win at Los Medanos College on Friday.

The non-conference victory improved CCSF to 6-2-1 overall. Since dropping a 1-0 contest to Cypress College on Sep. 9, the Rams have won four straight and have outscored their opponents by an 18-3 margin.

The Rams blitzed Los Medanos on Friday, outshooting the Mustangs by a 12-6 margin. Evans scored on three of the four shots she took. She tallied first-half goals in the 13th and 28th minutes and finished the hat trick scoring in the 60th minute to give CCSF a 5-0 lead.

Iliana Sanchez got the Rams on the board first with her goal in the 11th minute. Joelle Fong-Pedrosa (32nd) and Gabriela Reyes (65th) also got in on the party with goals.

Leslie Murillo and Alexandra Arouxet Jara both assisted on two goals each while Fong-Pedrosa also had an assist.

Goalkeeper Elvira Motuapuaka totaled six saves to post the Rams' fourth shutout of the season.

CCSF returns to action on Tuesday (Oct. 4) when the Rams open Coast Conference North Division play at home against visiting Las Positas College at 4 p.m.
