LOS ALTOS HILLS – For the first time since 2018, the City College of San Francisco Rams are Coast Conference North Division champions.

Despite a 2-0 loss at Foothill College on Friday in its regular-season finale, a tie by second-place Evergreen Valley College resulted in CCSF closing out the season with a one-point advantage in the final standings. The Rams went 7-3-1 in Coast Conference play for 22 points while Evergreen Valley ended 6-2-3 with 21 points.

Since 2011, CCSF has won six Coast Conference titles (2022, 2018, 2016, 2014, 2012, 2011).

The Rams opened the final week of the regular season with a 3-0 win at Ohlone College on Tuesday. Raymond Langford, Oliver Cortes Guillen, and Sergio Laguna all scored while goalkeeper Fernando Escobedo posted CCSF's third straight shutout and ninth overall of the season.

A win on Friday at Foothill would have wrapped up the title for the Rams but the Owls held San Francisco scoreless for the first time this season to put a halt to the CCSF celebration. Evergreen Valley needed a win to steal the title, but allowed two goals over the final two minutes of its game at Cabrillo, resulting in a 3-3 tie.

The Rams now turn their attention to the postseason. With a 13-4-1 overall record, CCSF should  receive a top-8 seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs that get underway on Nov. 19.

San Francisco last reached the playoffs in 2019 and advanced to the second round.
