Baseball Drops Contest to Chaffey

Compton, Calif. - Freshman Julian Sansores went seven innings on the mound, scattering four hits and fanning three, but the Tartar baseball team dropped a 5-1 game to Chaffey on Tuesday afternoon.

Sophomore Alexandro Rodriguez and freshman Shoma Yoshida both counted two-hit games with freshman Billy Sanchez earning the only extra base hit on a double in the eighth inning.

Sansores' record now sits at 0-2 on the season. Freshman Ryan Atencio and Andy Rosales came in relief for an inning each.

Compton (6-11, 1-2) heads to Chaffey (7-11, 2-1) on Thursday, Mar. 8 to complete the two-game series with the Panthers at 2 p.m.
