Cabezas gets first win in 7-2 Vaquero victory

L.A. Pierce only had three players on Thursday and SBCC took advantage to post a 7-2 men's tennis win at Pershing Park.

Gabriel Cabezas got his first win of the year, beating Ashkon Hojati 6-2, 6-2 in No. 3 singles. Dominic Mariscal swept Daniel Vinterfeld in the No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-1.

The Vaqueros are 5-10 overall and 3-4 in the WSC. Pierce is 0-8 and 0-7.

Santa Barbara will play its final team match on Tuesday at El Camino, starting at 2 p.m.
