WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL: STREAK UP TO SEVEN
The Hornet volleyball team continued to ride their hot streak as they took on Golden West College Wednesday evening in what is the first of 8 home matches in a row.
Fullerton entered the night with a 6-match win streak and is sitting in 2nd place all alone in the Orange Empire Conference at 10-6 (11-6 overall). In first is Irvine Valley College, who is ranked No. 1 in the state with an undefeated record of 14-0.
In what would be a successful night for Fullerton, the first set was the closest with the Hornets edging the Rustlers by a score of 25-21. The second set would allow the Hornets to gain even more separation as they won by a score of 25-16. The third set was more of the same for both teams as Fullerton posted the exact same score of 25-16, completing the sweep of Golden West College and extending their win streak to 7.
