(Ventura, CA) Mt. San Antonio College (5-1) opened up an 8-0 lead before host Ventura College (5-2-1) scored two runs in the bottom of the third. The Mounties tacked on another run in the fifth to secure a 9-2 non-conference win on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

Key players in Mt. SAC's offensive efforts included Asia Chacon (2-2, 2 R, RBI, 2B, 3B), Olivia Ortiz (3-4, R, SB), Brianna Goris (2-3, R, RBI, 2B), Mia Mendoza (2-4, R, RBI, 3B), and  Desiree Bravo (2-5, R, 3 RBI).

Aleyna Urbina (3-0) picked up the complete-game win for the Mounties, throwing seven innings and striking out three.

Mt. SAC returns home to host Fullerton College (1-0) in a non-conference game on Thursday, Feb. 9, at 3 p.m.
