Martinez leads Tartars to Victory in Tartar Futbol for a Cure Game against Pasadena City

Compton, Calif. – Freshman Carolina Martinez went two for two in the Tartar Futbol for a Cure Game against the Pasadena City Lancers (3 – 4) Friday afternoon leading the Women's Soccer team to their first Conference victory since the 2011 season. Compton (4 - 4 - 5) proudly wore pink attire during the game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month as they defeated the Lancers 2 - 1.

Freshman Jasmine Garcia served as the Tartar's goal keeper and collected two saves. Sophomore Jenifer Lopez and freshmen Nadine Martinez and Yuliana Estrada all created scoring opportunities.  

The next Women's Soccer home game will be held Tuesday November 5 with a 4 p.m. start time against Rio Hondo College (5 – 7 – 4).
