Falcons Count Eight Goals in Shutout of Yuba

Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano women's soccer team counted eight goals in its shutout of Yuba on Tuesday afternoon on Sophomore Recognition Day. The Falcons' nine sophomores were honored at the game.

Freshman Jordyn Bennett paced the Falcon offense with three goals and two assists with freshman Keana Flynn backing her up with two goals and two assists. Sophomores Isabella Kelly-Fondersmith and Isabel Olmedo each earned a goal with Kelly-Fondersmith adding an assist, and freshman Amber Ayala contributed a goal and an assist.

Sophomore keeper Kirstyn Gotschall played 70 minutes in the goal, earning an assist in her efforts, with freshman Ashley Zahner relieving her.

The Falcons (11-5-3, 10-1-1) remain home, hosting Merritt on Friday, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m.
