The Hornets 8-game streak was broken on Thursday night when they hosted No. in the state Irvine Valley and lost 3-0.
Although Fullerton was swept in three straight sets, the team fought hard and gave the Lasers three tough games.
In the first set the Hornets were down 5-1 and came back to tie it up at 10. IVC went on a 9-4 run and then finished off the set 25-19. The second set was a battle with both teams exchanging points at 17-16. The set featured many long and exciting rallies, but Irvine Valley pulled away to win it 25-21. The third and final set saw the Lasers take a 6-3 advantage, but the Hornets tied it up 12-12. IVC proved to be too much with a relentless attack winning the set 25-18.
