OC Softball Struggles Continue

Charlie Holman raises her average to .590, but OC drops fourth in a row.

Hopefully the trend ends soon for the Oxnard College Softball team.  After winning five straight games, OC's fate has turned the wrong way.  Oxnard (7-6) dropped their fourth contest in a row at Antelope Valley College (7-9), by a score of 6-2.

OC fell vs AVC at home on February 1st, but after that game, they went on a five-game winning streak.  After losses in their last four, the Condors are scratching their heads.

Charlie Holman is batting .590 and Miranda Guerrero is at .500.  Five other Condors are over .300, and starting pitcher Kayla Kern is at a respectable 2.97 ERA.

"We need to get this right before conference starts next week," said head coach Erin Lawley.  "We are really struggling right now (on defense) so we hope to have a good outing on Tuesday."

Oxnard hosts LA Valley who they have split games with this season.  First pitch is scheduled for 2:30, in the Nest.
