Olympian Beach Volleyball sparked off the season with a conference match against Mira Costa College, in addition to competing against Long Beach City College the same day. The matches were fierce, fast-paced and incredibly fun.

Most notable efforts came from SD Mesa's number ones, Kat Wright and Flavia Virgili, taking the second and third sets (12-21, 21-16, 15-12), number twos, Sarah Connell and Olivia Tomlin, winning the first and third sets (21-16, 14-21, 15-9), and the number fives, Lisa Moore-Teague and Lizette Moore-Teague, fighting for the win in the deciding match (19-21, 22-20, 10-15).

The Lady Olympians begin conference with an 0-1 against Mira Costa College, yet have gained valuable experience in preparing for their next conference opponent, Grossmont College on Friday March 24, 2017.
