Bakersfield, CA – The Renegade Women's Soccer team hosted the Citrus College Owls at the BC Soccer Fields on Tuesday afternoon and came away with a 3-2 loss.
The Renegades wasted no time in scoring after Makenna Ramirez found the back of the net in the second minute. The Owls responded back in the 26th minute with a header off a rebounded own shot to tie the game at 1-1.
Citrus added another goal just before the half on a penalty kick to go up 2-1 going into the break.
Halfway through the second half the Owls put another goal up on the board that BC answered back with a goal of their own on an Aaliyah Cleveland corner kick. From that point the Renegades were unable to mount a further comeback and notched their sixth loss of the season.
The Renegades now move to 1-6-2 on the season. Up next, they will travel to play at West LA at 4pm this Friday (10/11).
