Wilson scores another double-double with win over Mesa

SAN MARCOS, CA (2/12/2020) – Men's basketball faced off against San Diego Mesa College on Wednesday night and won 84-65 to improve to 9-4 in conference play.

Zadok Wilson posted his fifth double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Wilson also recorded one assist and one steal. Wilson was 8-13 in the field, draining one of two threes and was 1-1 at the charity stripe. After being quiet for a couple of weeks, Jacob Durham was back last night to his usual ways. He had 16 points, 6-8 in the field and 4-5 at the free throw line, and eight rebounds. Durham also recorded one assist, one steal and a block. Anthony Brewer finished the night with 16 points as well to go along with two assists and three steals. Brewer was also 4-5 from the free throw line. Wilson, Durham and Brewer were the only Comets who made it to the charity stripe. Together they shot 81.8 percent.

The Comets committed eight turnovers and caused 19 to score an additional 22 points. The men also scored 56 points in the paint.

Palomar is now 18-7 overall and will face San Diego City College Friday, Feb. 14 on the road. Tip will be at 7 p.m.
