Compton, Calif. - In his final game as a Tartar, sophomore Chris Townsell led all players with a career-high 34 points, but the Tartars fell 85-79 on Friday evening.

Townsell added five boards and three steals to his night. Freshman Jaylen Million was the other Tartar to reach double figures with 14 points. 

Sophomores L'kielynn Taylor and Taylor Tittle also played their last game in Tartar Gymnasium with Taylor scoring nine points with seven rebounds, and Tittle earning a pair of points and three boards.

Compton finishes the 2017-18 campaign with a 8-18, 5-5 record, good for at least third place in the South Coast Conference South Division.
