Women's Tennis Team Season Ends with a Loss over COD but will Compete for Individuals

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College women's tennis team traveled to the second round of team playoffs against College of the Deserts. The Renegades fell to the Roadrunners 6-3 and ended their state championship run. 

Singles Results

1. Greta Krueger (BC) lost to Hanna Moss (COD); 6-4, 6-3

2. Kiana Lua (BC) lost to Emunah Daffon (COD); 6-3, 6-3

3. Grecia De La Cruz  (BC) lost to Margn Peter (COD); 6-1, 6-3

4. Hannah Purvis (BC) lost to Antonella Mazzotti (COD); 2-6, 6-3, 6-3

5. Abigail Reimer (BC) lost to Ayano Tsuchia (COD); 6-3, 6-3

6. Sara Vargas (BC) def. Abbie Corado (COD); 6-0, 6-3.

 

Doubles Results:

1. Krueger/Lua (BC) lost to Daffon/Moss (COD); 8-0

2. Purvis/DeLaCruz (BC) def. Mazzotti/Peter (COD);8-4

3. Cisneros/Reimer (BC) def. Corado/Tsuchia (COD); 8-3

 

Next up, Bakersfield will send seven athletes to compete for the CCCAA Championships individual and duals tournament in Ojai on April 26-30th.
