Football Team. No, they didn't dominate Los Angeles Harbor College in Saturday's 26-19 win, but instead the visiting Vaqueros found a way to win despite committing five turnovers and not overwhelming the Seahawks in any phase of the game.

Yes, freshman quarterback Nick Garcia was responsible for three interceptions but also passed for 272 yards on 18 completions in 28 attempts and two touchdowns to help his team to maintain its tie for the Metro League lead at 3-0 with Santa Ana College and is 5-2 overall. GCC rolled up 393 yards of total offense Saturday as compared to almost 1,000 in the two previous wins against West L. A. and Orange Coast but it was 121 yards rushing helped them show more balance.

Running back Max Mota started for league rushing leader Kevin Armstead for the second straight week and contributed 120 yards of total offense, 67 on the ground in 11 carries and caught two passes for 53 yards. Nick Johnson again was the main target for Garcia with nine catches for 68 yards and two touchdowns. Defensive back Quran Bouldin had a great all-around game for the Vaqs with five tackles, four solo, 3 1/2 tackles for a loss, 2 1/2 sacks, one pass broken up and one quarterback hurry. Richie Garcia, Darian Allen and Tyron Clark all had four tackles each.
