Women's Soccer End in Draw Against Allan Hancock

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield College women's soccer team opened up the evening with a 4-0 win streak. A combative 90-minute game ended with a 1-1 draw against the Allan Hancock Bulldogs.

An amazing corner kick from freshman Gissel Lopez would give the Renegades the leg up in the first half. Besides the one goal at the 19th minute, the first 45 minutes was quiet, as both teams' goalies on each side saw little to no action come their way.

Into the second half BC kept holding on defensively to their one goal lead. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs managed to keep pushing forward and attack on Bakersfield's lack of defense covering the goal and shot right above Katelyn Gonzalez's head at the 74th minute. The final 15 minutes of the game would end being aggressive from both sides as both teams wanted to run away with the win. The final whistle would blow and the game ended in a 1-1 tie. Gonzalez ended the game with four total saves.

With the tie, BC ends the night 4-1-0. The team will play three more home games before heading out for the road. Tuesday, September 20th they will take on Cuesta College at 4:00pm
