In the first 80 minutes the Spartans controlled possession but struggled to find quality opportunities to score.  In the remainder of the game they turned it on and had numerous shots on goal and other opportunities that came up empty until Pierce Wollan scored the Spartan's lone goal in the 87th minute.  Despite having significant injuries, some season ending, the MiraCosta women's soccer team continues to have success improving to 9-2-5. They are also undefeated in their last five games and 7-1-1 in their last nine games.

Sophomore Mia Bochis played all 90 minutes in the goal and anchored the defense that held the Knights score less.  This same defense has given up only one goal in the last five games.

The Spartans are next in action on Friday October 25th at Imperial Valley College at 1PM.
