The West Valley women's tennis team had its best showing of the season, taking doubles matches 2-1 before finally falling to Cañada 6-2. WVC doubles teams Abigail Salazar/Sovanny Thach and Samantha Garcia/Arlenne Quinones staked the Vikings to an early match lead with respective 8-5 and 8-4 wins. Joyce Chou and Lydia Tellgren dropped a tight 8-5 match in the #1 singles and the Colts pulled away for straight-set singles wins. Coast Conference action continues Tuesday (3/5) with a 2:00 match against crosstown rival Mission at the West Valley Tennis Complex.
