Sacramento, Calif. The Lady Hawks hosted (9-2) Sierra College on Tuesday. The high-powered Sierra College offense was slowed down by the Lady Hawks discipline and organized defense.

The Lady Hawks went into Tuesday Big 8 match with a (3-2) conference record and looking to stun (4-1) Sierra. The Hawks battled from the opening whistle and look to surprise Sierra College. With dynamic runs behind there backline and great combination play to set up the runs. The game was back and forth with both teams creating a fair share of chances. A big afternoon by Tanayjah Tamano with 5 saves helped keep the Hawks in the match. The game went into halftime 0-0 with the game looking like either team could come out on top.

When the 2^nd half began Sierra College came out a different team and created a few dangerous chance that they could not turn into a goal. That all changed in the 53rd minute when Sierra was able to put one in the back of the net. That did not discourage the Lady Hawks. They continued to battle and create chances against Sierra College goal. Unfortunately, for the Hawks we were not able to find the back of the net. The game ended in a 0-1 win for Sierra.

 Next up the Lady Hawks will travel to Diablo Valley College Friday.
