The No. 2 Long Beach City College women's beach volleyball team punched their ticket to the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Team State Championships on Tuesday morning with big wins over No. 10 Orange Coast College (4-1) and No. 7 MiraCosta College (3-2) in the Southern California Regional Team Playoffs.
This was the Vikings' third-consecutive year in the SoCal Regional Playoffs. Last year, the Vikings finished in third place at the CCCAA Team State Championships.
The Vikings will compete in the Southern California Pairs Regionals on May. 3 at Irvine Valley College with No. 9 seed Doris Woods and Isabella Alvarez and No. 16 seed Elsa Woods and Kaitlyn Peterson. The team will compete in the CCCAA State Championship tournament on May 9 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center.
