The West Valley women's soccer team spent most of Tuesday's contest playing on Foothill's side of the pitch, but was unable to get anything past Owl keeper Marka Ballard as the two teams battled to a scoreless tie in Saratoga. The Vikings (5-1-2) reached double figures in shots on goal and held the Owls (2-2-1) to only two scoring chances. WVC keeper Samantha Coelho recorded her fourth shutout of the season. West Valley heads to Lake Tahoe Friday (9/20) for a big non-conference contest against the undefeated Coyotes (5-0-1). West Valley hosts Chabot (2-2-2) in the Coast Conference opener Sept. 25. Kickoff is 4:00pm.
