Cuesta Women's Soccer hosted West Hills-Lemoore for its 2022 Home Opener and survived a punishing battle of attrition.  The Cougars under New Head Coach Kaleb Lique Naitove, went scoreless, while also blanking the visiting Golden Eagles in a physical battle to hold their home pitch.  Lemoore outshot the Cougars, 9-8, but more telling to the flow of the game was 14 fouls and three yellow cards amassed by the the vistiing Golden Eagles.  The Cougars, who dressed a dozen players, held up to the pounding, while Goalkeepers Roni Hinson and Marlem Cambron kept the nets clean and combind for the shutout.  

Cuesta is now 0-1-1 on the season and travels to Bakersfield next Tuesday (4 PM), before returning to their home pitch on Friday (3 PM) to face Santa Rosa in their final pre-conference test.
