MERCY FOR THE FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON

MERCY FOR THE FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON: Fullerton College enforced the mercy rule on Chaffey College Tuesday beating the Panthers 12-1 at home. The Hornets scored a run in the bottom of the first inning, 2 more in the third, and then exploded for 9 run in the fourth to lock up the win.

FC pitcher Shailee Boehmer earned the win (1-2) tossing 5 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 earned run, along with 5 strikeouts.

1B Nichole Chapman led the charge offensively with 2 hits, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs. LF Liz Garcia collected 2 hits, 2 runs and 1 RBI while SS Felisha Gomez and 2B Andrea Enriques each had 2 hits, 1 run, and 1 RBI.

Up Next: The Hornets (1-3 overall) look to keeps things rolling as they host L.A. Valley College this Thursday, January 7th. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
