Grossmont College softball swept L.A. Harbor College in a double header held on Friday, March 6, 2020.

Grossmont's bats were on FIRE Friday, March 6, scoring 30 runs over 2 games in the day's double header against L.A. Harbor College. Lexi Schmehr got the win for the first game and Sierra Schlichting gained her first collegiate win on the mound in the second game.

Schmehr pitched the first three innings of game one against L.A. Harbor and earned the win 9-1.

Also in game one, Grossmont obtained 11 hits and 1 error. Schmehr, Jazmine Gomez, Kelly Olson, Gabby Clippinger, Jessica Medlin, and Melissa Guiterrez each earned hits for the Griffins. Olson earned the most RBIs Friday. Schmehr, Medlin, Clippinger all had doubles against L.A. Harbor during the first game.

In game two, Schlichting started on the mound for the Griffins in what turned out to be her first collegiate start and win as a pitcher.

The Griffin's bats were on FIRE again, earning 17 hits and 21 runs in 5 innings.

Gomez, Gutierrez, Rainee Foster, and  Medlin each earned a hit in the second game. Sheyenne Boubion, Clippinger, Schlichting, Sierra Marty, and Alyssia Valdez each had multiple hits that fueled the Griffins' momentum.

Schmehr, Gomez, Guiterrez, Boubion, Marty, Foster, Medlin, and Clippinger all earned RBIs in the second game. Schlichting and Valdez both earned 3 RBIs that contributed to the team's high scoring game.
