HEARTBREAK LOSS ON SOPHOMORE NIGHT

HEARTBREAK LOSS ON SOPHOMORE NIGHT: The Lady Hornets hosted Irvine Valley College Wednesday night and lost to the Lasers 52-46 after holding a comfortable lead with 5 minutes left.

FC had a cozy 45-37 lead with 5:31 left in the game and could not hit a basket from the floor the remainder of the game allowing IVC to sneak in the win. The lone Hornet point came off of a free throw.

Sophomore's Amber Washington, Irma Urzua, and Laura Curiel were honored before the start of the game as it was their last home game of the season.  Amber's best game was last week at home against Saddleback where she scored a season best 17 points along with a season best 16 rebounds. Laura's game high was 11 points vs Santa Ana and Antelope Valley. She hit a high of 8 assists at Cypress. Irma best game came against Compton College where she scored 21 points hitting 7-12 on three-pointers. She just missed the FC school record by one... 8 in a game by Kris Hayman vs RCC 2-6-02.

Up Next: Fullerton (6-19, 2-9) will travel to Orange Coast College this Friday, February 22nd.  Game time is at 7:30 pm.
