Womens Water Polo Comes Up Short in Season Opener

CYPRESS, CA-The Cypress College women's water polo team (0-1) lost their season opener in a hard fought battle against Cerritos College.

Though the Chargers' offense got off to a slow start,  they came alive in the third quarter, scoring five goals to bring the score within two points.  The Cerritos Falcons held on though, ultimately winning 11-8. The Chargers were led by sophomore, Hannah Fonacier, who had five goals. They look to rebound quickly as they will face Orange Coast College at home on September 15th for their conference opener.

UP NEXT: The Chargers will be back in their home pool for their first Orange Empire Conference game on September 15th. The Chargers will host Orange Coast College at 4PM.
