Oakland, Calif. - Sophomore Stella Havea returned to her hometown to lead the Falcons in scoring as the Solano women's basketball team rebounded with a 65-49 win at Merritt on Friday evening.

Solano outscored Merritt 35-14 in bench points with Havea leading the way with 12, adding five rebounds. Freshman Vanessa Hughes added eight points of her own with six rebounds.

After falling behind early, the Falcons held Merritt to under 10 points in the second and third quarters to secure a sizeable lead going into the final 10 minutes.

The Falcons (16-8, 8-1) look to capture the Bay Valley Conference title at Laney on Friday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m.
