The #21 American River College Football program hosted #2 College of San Mateo on Saturday, September 24th.

College of San Mateo controlled the first half, scoring 7 in the first quarter and 17 in the second quarter to take a 24-0 lead into halftime.  The Beavers were able to regroup in the second half, holding the CSM offense scoreless.

In the 4th quarter, the Beavers were able to cut into CSM's lead on a 1 yard run by Kenneth Lueth and a 5 yard run by Toure Hendrick.  With the score at 24-14, CSM was able to recover an onside kick and prevent the Beavers from scoring on their final drive.

The Beavers drop to 1-3 on the season and will finish non-conference play this weeked, October 1st, as they host Modesto Junior College at 1 PM.
