The MiraCosta women's basketball team maintained their place on top of the conference standings with a dominant 80-26 win over San Diego City.  The win improves the Spartans to 13-5 but more importantly 5-0 in conference play.  As the score indicates, MiraCosta was in full control of the game holding the Knights to just nine points in the first half.  The Spartans also held them to 16% shooting for the game, which led the large margin of victory.

MiraCosta was led in scoring by Chynna Cochran (18 points) but also got tremendous support from Savannah Beasley (12), Madison Rowe and McKena Stoeff (10 each) and Julia Iman who narrowly missed a triple double with nine points, 15 assists and eight rebounds. Kiva Reyes and Ashley Spounias both added eight points off the bench.  In addition to her 12 points Beasley was an unstoppable force grabbing 16 rebounds.

MiraCosta will next be in action on Wednesday at home against Mesa College. Tip off is at 7PM.
