WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: STILL RUNNING ROAD-STRONG

Fullerton made it 6 road-wins in a row on Friday knocking off Saddleback 3-1 in an Orange Empire Conference battle.

The Hornets are currently in second place in the conference with a record of 5-1, while the Gauchos moved to seventh place while holding a 2-4 OEC record.

It was not an easy task for FC as Saddleback grabbed game one 25-21. The Gauchos jumped up early in game two, but Fullerton clawed their way back taking the game 25-20. FC rolled into game three with a chip on their shoulder winning it 25-19, however Saddleback did not go away quietly in game four fighting Fullerton every step of the way. The Hornets managed to escape with a 25-22 victory putting the match away for good.

Saylor Frew played a big role in the FC win knocking down 19 kills with 14 digs. Faith Webb was just as potent hammering 13 kills along with a team-high 19 digs. Priscilla Gutierrez had 17 digs, and Karen Delgadillo chipped in with 32 assists.

Up Next: After playing on the road for 8 straight games, FC (10-6, 5-1) will finally host a game in the South Gym on Tuesday, October 16th against OEC rival Golden West College. Game time is at 6:00 pm.
