COD Women's Soccer gets the work done on the road to notch 1st win of 2019

COD Women's Soccer kicked off the Labor Day weekend on the right foot, putting in the work with their 2nd road contest of this week. COD Women's Soccer got the first Win of 2019 out of the way, this moves their record to 1-1 on this young season. The first Roadrunner goal of the 2019 campaign came from #18 Freshman winger Fabiana Zavala afer receiving a layoff pass from from fellow Freshman #2 Jasmin Castillo in the 7th minute. In the 27th minute Zavala would tally her 2nd goal, with an assist coming from #10 Jaidah Martin, just two minutes later #18 Freshman Ashley Murguia, would net her first goal taking a thru pass from fellow Freshman #21 Valeria Ceballos. Cuyamaca would get on the scoreboard trimming the lead to 3-1, just three minutes into the 2nd half. In the 79th minute COD's Murguia would net her 2nd goal taking a cross from Freshman winger #3 Isabel Castillo, moving the COD lead to 4-1. Then in the 83rd minute Cuyamaca would find the back of the net once more, both goals for the Coyotes were scored by Nina Miller. COD Women will be back in action for their Home Opener on Friday, September 6th at 5:00pm vs Oxnard College. Come out and support your Roadrunners in their 1st Home Match of 2019.
