Tennis Posts 1st Win of the Season on the Road at Glendale

SMC women's tennis won their 1st match of the season improving their record to 1-2, 1-2 overall.

 

Standouts for the day came from the top 2 positions with Nicole West and Kai Nikchevich posting an impressive win at no. 1 doubles with an 8-1 win in doubles. West and Nikchevich followed up with West winning at no. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-0 and Nikchevich winning convincingly at no. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1.

 

Other top peformances of the day came from Yasna Yaghoubi who posted a 6-1, 6-2 at no. 5 singles and Veronica Gerlach who was the last player on the courts with a match decided by a third set match tie-break that she won 10-8.
