After a scoreless first half, Mt. San Antonio College exploded for four straight goals en route to a 5-1 win over the West Valley men's soccer team in the 2019 season opener Saturday in Saratoga. The Mounties (2-0) opened the scoring two minutes after the break on the first of Angel Santoyo's two goals. The Vikings (0-1) got on the board in the 89th minute on an unassisted Pablo Ramirez tally. WVC keeper Jeron Rojas had a big first half, stopping five Mountie shots, including a Paul Iniguez penalty kick. The Vikings travel LA Mission (0-1-1) Sept. 5 and then return to Dick Schwendinger Field for games against Clovis (1-0) on 9/12 at 4pm and Fresno City (0-0-1) at noon on 9/14.
