The MSJC football team continued their winning streak on Saturday night as they won on the road for the third straight week, defeating Moorpark 58-27.

The Eagles scored the first 20 points of the night as their offense continues to put up impressive numbers week after week.  Midway through the first quarter the Eagles got on the board when Devan Freedland hooked up with Taliq Brown on a 15 yard pass to cap off a 9 play 42 yard drive to give MSJC a 6-0 lead.  Late in the first Freedland added a rushing touchdown from 10 yards out and the Eagles led 12-0 after the opening period.

MSJC pushed the lead to 18-0 when Sherod White had a 54 yard TD run with 8:42 to go in the half, and a 2 point conversion made the score 20-0.  Moorpark made a push later in the second when they scored back to back touchdowns to cut the lead to 20-13.  MSJC would score a key touchdown with just 1:32 left in the half when Jaylen Magee scored on a 9 yard run to give the Eagles a 26-13 lead.

The Eagles blew the game open in the second half as they scored 26 more unanswered points to make the lead 52-13 early in the 4th quarter.  Magee added a 12 yard TD run during that time, White scored two more rushing touchdowns in that span and Freedland threw a 44 yard pass to Taliq Brown.  After a touchdown for the Raiders, the Eagles added their final score of the day on another Magee run from 8 yards out to make it 58-21, before a last second score by Moorpark rounded out the scoring for the game.

The Eagle offense ended the night just one yard short of 600 with 599 total yards.  Freedland and Robert Coleman combined to go 18 of 32 passing for 257 yards with Freedland recording a pair of passing TDs, while Eddie McCulloch completed all 3 of his passes for 14 yards.  White had a monster game on the ground as he rushed for 225 yards on just 15 carries to go along with his 3 scores, Magee added 76 yards on 10 chances and also scored 3 times.  Brown had a team best 5 receptions for 92 yards.
